Staff Selection Commission

The SSC full form is Staff Selection Commission. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an Indian Government Organisation which recruits various staff and candidates for various SSC post. 

The Commission is headed by a Chairman who is assisted by two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. The Headquarter of the SSC  is located in New Delhi, India.

At present, there are seven Regional Offices at Allahabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore and two Sub-Regional Offices at Raipur and Chandigarh.

The full form of SSC is Secondary School Certificate also known as SSC or Matriculation examination. The SSC exam is conducted by various states of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. It is also equivalent to GCSE in England.

In India, it is also known as the tenth/10th Board Exam.

The SSC examination is conducted in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, etc.

In India, the tenth/10th board examinations are usually conducted in March/April by most of the boards. 

An examination schedule is issued by the boards at least one month before the exam. Class 10 board exam results are usually declared in May/June.

Short Service Commission

The Indian Army has a best alternative career for all those aspirants who wants to join and serve it for a few years. It is called the Short Service Commission.

It provides the option of joining the Indian Army and serving it as a Commissioned Officer for 5-years.

Once your tenure is over, you are allowed to opt for a Permanent Commission.

Alternatively, you can also choose for a 5 year extension and can choose to resign from your post any time during this period.
